Hydrogen Booster versus HHO Generator
A hydrogen booster is a device that electrolyzes water and injects
the resulting H2 or HHO gas into the vehicle's intake system. Most
people use terms like hydrogen booster, HHO generator, hydrogen
fuel injection and HHO gas injection interchangeably.

HHO Generators

There are a few manufacturers however who like to distinguish their
hydrogen boosters from HHO gas generators. Many argue that these
are simply selling points. According to those who sell hydrogen
boosters who actually have their devices electrolyze water and then
separate the hydrogen from the oxygen, there are a couple of points
to be made.
First, the manufacturers say that hydrogen boosters won't cause
hydrogen embrittlement issues and that HHO generators over time
will cause this problem. Manufacturers of HHO generators (oxyhydrogen
gas) say that too little hydrogen is injected into the cylinders
to cause embrittlement and this is simply a selling point and not
a point of fact.
The sellers of hydrogen boosters also say that since oxygen is
not injected into the car's intake system, the MAP, MAF or O2 sensors
won't have to be adjusted as they will on HHO generators. According
to those who sell HHO boosters, more MPG's can be gained by leaning
out the gas / air mixture with their product that those that run
hydrogen only.
It must be noted that most manufacturers who say they are selling
hydrogen boosters including the biggest names in the industry such
as the Canadian Hydrogen Energy Company and Hy-Drive Technologies
are actually selling HHO generators.
So, be that as it may, whether you have a hydrogen booster or an
HHO generator, they both operate in similar fashion. Both electrolyze
water, usually with some electrolyte added and inject the resulting
gas into the vehicle's intake system.
The hydrogen gas helps the gasoline or diesel fuel burn more cleanly
and completely on an atomic level, thus reducing emissions and improving
mileage. Hydrogen boosters are currently being used in South Korea,
Canada and the U. S. in large numbers and are being sold by large
corporations and small enterprises alike.
